At February 6, 2007 Land Survey Bureau of MOI held “60th anniversary celebration and a surveying application and development seminar” in Chung Cheng Hall, Liming office area, Nantun District, Taichung City. The scholars、experts and colleagues in central and local government agency were invited to the celebration. The number of attendees were up to 740, include Administrative Deputy Minister of MOI, Lin, Join-Sane、Vice President of Examination Yuan, Wu, Rong-Ming and Executive director of Central Taiwan Joint Services Center, Executive Yuan, Lin, Feng-His, etc. The contribution of Land Survey Bureau in six decade was met with unanimous applause. The celebration had an awarding ceremony for the contribution of senior surveyor and the director of Land Survey Bureau, Hsiao, Fuu-Dao also had a special topic report on review and prospect of Land Survey Bureau 60th Anniversary. In the course of time, the perfect ending to the celebration was that the director Hsiao and guests of honor cut the cake together and wished the bureau’s 60th birthday.
The celebrating activity also included a seminar held in the afternoon and the seminar focused the issue on surveying technique and the future of cadastral survey from the four major topics, “From Control Survey, Cadastration to U Survey”、“The Cadastration Information System Development and the Future”、“Review and Prospect of Land Survey”and“Consult with Geoinformation Industry Development and the Survey License System”. Additionally, it demonstrated kinds of survey achievement, new generation surveying equipment and many pieces of art which include Calligraphy, photography, flower arrangement works. The active occasion was unmatched in grandeur and concluded at 4 oclock in the afternoon.
