LSB invited Prof. Wolfgang Kainz, University of Vienna, Austria to give a speech on 14th May 2007. The subject is “Surveying and Mapping in Austria and Some Thoughts on the Future of Cartography in Europe”. There were 34 persons to attend the meeting and discussed many topics, including mapping standard, map scale rule, overlapping different kinds of maps, etc. The speech helps LSB’s staff to realize survey affairs in Austria and future development of mapping.
