The Renewed Basic Topographic Maps at Post-disaster Reconstruction Areas after Morakot Typhoon Available.

The National Land Surveying and Mapping Center (NLSC) had completed basic topographic maps in disaster areas after Morakot typhoon in 2011 and 2012 separately. Totally 1,552 sheets of 1:5,000 scale maps have been revised, while 76 sheets of 1:25,000 scale, 21 sheets of 50,000 scale, and 6 sheets of 100,000 scale topographic maps have also been renewed before July 2012.
From February to June 2012, the NLSC performed aerial photogrammetric flights by using unmanned aerial vehicle system (UAS) over the post-disaster reconstruction areas for taking the reconstruction achievements. 25 sheets of 1:5,000 scale basic maps have been updated and are open for public.
