In order to provide up-to-date Common Version Electronic Map（CVEM）, 1012 sheets of CVEM covering partial Taiwan were scheduled to update and landmarks for livelihood were also added in by National Land Surveying and Mapping Center（NLSC）in 2012 fiscal year. As to areas outside the above 1012 sheets, new techniques involving unmanned aerial vehicle system and mobile survey system, and methods including digitization on ortho photos and layer extraction from basic topographic maps were combined to use to renew main and important roads.
