Surveying Instruments

The surveying procedures consist of triangulation, trilateration survey, and precise traverse survey (satellite positioning survey) , mapping control survey, parcel survey, area calculating and mapping. Most of the early surveying tools are mainly precision mechanical structure , such as theodolite (for angle surveying) and hand calculator, while bamboo tape, planimeter, level, contourborder and calculation card , all as essential tools for survey. With the development of electronic, photoelectric, and satellite technology, many hi-tech instruments such as electronic telemeter , satellite positioning system have been invented to improve the precision and quality of the survey.
