●       Due to the limit of traditional survey technology, the intertidal zone survey is rather difficult so that there is a lack of topographic data of this zone.

●       NLSC has conducted intertidal zone topographic survey during 2004~2008 for establishing the basic topographic data of intertidal zone. A total of 882 topographic map sheets at the scale of 1:5000 have been completed with a total area of 1,070 km².
